'Tis the season for holiday giving! If you and your family would like to give back in some way this Christmas season, we have two opportunities for you right in our classroom.
1. Our class will be collecting oatmeal (flavored packets, containers of oats, or cream of wheat) for the Community Action House that helps families in need within the Holland/Zeeland area.
2. Our class will be also be collecting donations of children's books and craft supplies (googly eyes, colored pom-pom balls, velcro strips, dixie cups, colored pipe cleaners, stickers, etc) for a Kindergarten classroom in Pittsburgh, PA. My sister-in-law (the other Mrs. Nelson!) teaches in a school that is in desperate need of assistance and our class has decided to partner with them this season.
Any donations can be sent in to our classroom between now and December 17.
