On Friday, three firefighters from the Holland Township Fire Department visited the first graders at New Groningen. They reinforced the concepts that we had been discussing in class throughout fire safety week and made learning about fire safety and prevention fun! After their presentation, the firefighters even let all three classes go outside to explore the fire truck, try on some fire protection gear, and shoot the water hose. It was another great Friday in first grade!
